Secondly, if you had a contract with him and he has breached it, consider talking with an attorney, be make sure not to breach the contract yourself.Third, structure contracts with contractors that favor you regarding when payment is made.On my last rehab I had an executed rehab contract where I paid 1/3 after paint was complete 1/3 after flooring was complete and 1/3 after the kitchen was remodeled.

There are differences, however; a contractor working with a PM is likely only going to see a few, full blown remodels a year, whereas a flipper is going to live and breath that kind of work.
