Go to Home Depot or Lowe's and see what supplies cost. 

Some people just go into Home Depot.

You can buy 12 X 12 tiles at Lowes or Home Depot for .69 per square foot, cut in half and install 6 X 6 for your backsplash.

Yeah that's just crazy to think there is no better places for materials than Home Depot and Menards.

Otherwise its Menards or Home Depot about 2 1/2 hours away. 

A PV array, bike, fuel efficient car, place for a garden, etc, could make a big difference.

Living in a house that you are fixing up is different from fixing up a flip that you aren't living in, and there is a lot to be said for having hobbies that don't include trips to Home Depot. 

Instead, if I spend $50 at Home Depot on something for a property, I have to manually input the expense inside TenantCloud.
