On a serious note, if a partner-to-be has major consumer debt, it's definitely worth exploring what bad habits might be associated with it.

It's awesome if you make it a habit to record things as they happen, no matter what you use to do it.

I think it will ultimately result in regulations that harm the industry...all because a few bad apples took advantage of the lack of oversight. 

What about buying that $35k house that needs $10k in repairs to make it habitable?
