I hope to get everyone's opinions of how the Houston market is doing and share what their strategy is for the coming months as well as 2017 for investment properties in Houston.

We are beginning a rehab of our Duplex + 2 studio apartments on the East side of Houston, Texas around Lockwood & I-45.

I have been closely watching houses as they pop up and sell within days. It's easy to tell which houses will move quickly, but are they good deals? I was hoping to get a discussion going on strategies that people have...

@Juliana Limones Invest those 2K on a marketing blast and you will get at least 2-4 deals from it, do not send letter to spring (There must be 1000 wholesalers trying to get into that area) If you need guidance we can connect, there are plenty of wholesalers and real estate investors in the Houston area with lots of success, I would reach out to them and have one of them mentor you instead.

I'm a multi-family broker in Houston focused on properties 4-50 units and it saves me a ton of time.

I suggest to attend local RE meet-ups, there are several good ones around town like "Houston Real Deal" by @Charles Nguyen and Ray Sasser,  White Picket Realty, Realty Investment Club of Houston "RICH" (there is a yearly membership for this one) but their network of extensive experienced investors and number of free courses and sessions you get with your membership is priceless.

There are no comps to base it on, and the area is a lower end rental area NE of downtown Houston...

A few months back I was under contract on a home in Houston.  

I'm an investor  in Houston Tx.  

I don't have any experience with the Dallas market, but I'm asking the same question with the Houston market.
