Why buy a house and add on instead of just buying a house that's the right size?

Judging from other advertisements from houses this size and calling some property management companies I don't think it would be a problem getting 750 maybe 800.

Something to consider, however is that 1) We have about 350 units in about 13 different properties (so a medium sized business) and 2) My background is a computer programmer/database developer for 18 years, so I have higher expectations than most in any given software.That being said, here is my list:1) Their reporting is very weak.

Will have all new windows & doors, commercial flooring, peaked roof, int. done very tastefully, exterior fixed up and new street-side wall installed in place of wooden sliding garage door.It's a tidy studio size for students, local workers, etc.

Maplewood/South Orange's real estate took off years after and I personally think a similar effect will take place however not on the same scale because of the smaller lot sizes, etc.Prism Capital purchased the old GE building and has made heavy investment into the property.

I would guess that unless you buy really good you will have to be into something about that size to get that kind of cash flow.

I can live with $525/water paid but not sure that's the right price because of the size.
