I found an interesting article on the web at:[LINK REMOVED] It basically says that landlords do not have to rent to jerks and that "as long as your reason for not leasing to a person has nothing to do with their race, color, religion, national origin, sex, familial status or handicap, you don't have to.

In our condo, we have to pay for snow removal and all repairs to streets and parking lots -- part of our condo fee, but it could get very expensive if you only have 5 or 6 houses to split the costs with, even more so if nobody is required to contribute as then it probably deteriorates and ruins your access.
