I quickly plugged the hole and also scattered cotton wool balls which had been soaked in peppermint Oil around the area too , as mice detest the smell.Anyway, we tried various traps and baits, the humane ones and the type that look like a big block of cheese, nothing worked and the mouse sightings were becoming more frequent.
