You got to love your local Gov't officials, Been calling and leaving messages for the planner on duty here in good ol'e NORFOLK, VA due to them never answering the phone and zero !!!!!!  

#1 would be my priority, due to the potential liability of someone tripping/falling and hurting themselves on a hazard you clearly knew existed (and knew you had a duty to repair). 

The executors have a fiduciary duty to the estate and may have an obligation to report any purchase offers.

Replace existing working deadbolt with a heavier duty one.

It is my first rental property so I am new to learning the ropes, and also active duty Navy so I have spent more time away than around.

Originally from Texas; however, the Navy brought an amazing Missourian man into my life and once we both ended our active duty time we  moved to his home state.

At the end of this month I will be retiring from law enforcement after 9 years due to an injury in the line of duty.

@Regnor VonDedenroth About a year ago, I was still Active Duty military and had gotten my RE license.

@John Thedford  the state of CA has right on the BRE website a tab to report unlicensed activity and as brokers we have a duty to do that.. are you doing that.. when these folks are so blatantly selling RE without a license ???
