Again in Florida it may be different (although having a Tampa agent come on would be a big help)I went ahead and looked up the rules for the MLS in Tampa and the following is listed:"Note 1: The multiple listing service shall not have a rule requiring the listing broker to disclose the amount of total negotiated commission in his listing contract, and the association multiple listing service shall not publish the total negotiated commission on a listing which has been submitted to the MLS by a participant.

The seller also asked for a quick closing, so I didn't have much time for inspection.I talked to the land survey company on Tuesday, and they said they will come out to take a look and then give me a report by the following Monday.

I also think it is a good idea to minimize your taxes now, while positioning yourself the best you can for the future (where everything is an unknown).It certainly would not be a bad thing to also use your retirement accounts to invest in real estate (as long as you are very careful to follow the rules- avoid self-dealing!).
