How are you planning to finance the purchase? 

It's difficult navigating the home purchase process in general, but a lot of more difficult buying something with costly surprises you didn't plan for. 

Any major strategies you are planning to hone in on? 

Hey everyone, I am learning to get into RE investment field, my plan is taking out equity of first primary house to buy another one for rent (single or multi family).

Why would someone give you any money and more so, why would you take someone you know's money when you have no experience, no game plan, and a misplaced idea to buy distressed which is the hardest thing to buy and salvage for new investors?

., I planned for around $15,000 in basic repairs up front, with another $5,000 per unit for upgrades when the units turned over.

Because I don't control the process.

I plan to access some of the equity in my home, along with cash on hand, to purchase and reno property.  

Maybe i'll make a separate post on that process if there's interest.  

The plan of course is to rent this property out while continuing to house hack my current home
