When I look up a property on the county appraisal district website I sometimes see that the "owner mailing address" and "property address" are different - but there is still a homestead exemption on the property!

The home is/was in immaculate shape and in a very desirable school district.  

Recently purchased my own house for $260k, 3/2 on a quarter acre with a pool, down the street from a park and in a good school district with low crime, and could definitely get $1,500 rent for it.Although, at $250k purchase price, 25% down and a 5% interest rate (typical for investment properties) your monthly mortgage payment will be roughly $1,340 per month.

I would suggest to start looking at real estate that you are potentially moving to in Texas, what are the school districts like, what are average rent prices and how much house can you get for the money.

Those entities are essentially governed by the Federal Government.  

What kinds of inspections should I have done before and or after putting in an offer on a property?

I've been trying to purchase a rental property for the better part of a year now. It just seems like anything available on the market never works when I really look at the numbers. Here's an example of a current place...

Sorry for the long intro, on to the topic.We are going to look for a property to purchase in our expensive market by my standards (300 K-400 K) for a decent place in good school districts of South Tampa in the next year.

People will pay the rent to be in the single family house in a good school district where there are not many options because of family size, privacy, etc.

So essentially we are giving them twice as much notice as required by law.
