If the STR hosts in Austin ban together with a lawyer they can put a halt on any regulations though.

This is typically done with a title company or lawyer, or whatever is appropriate for your state. 

Or just a lawyer for the paperwork?

I’m not opposed to paying the money to speak to a lawyer, Im sure in hindsight there will be many learnings from this!

In the end, it comes down to whatever advice you decide to take from your lawyer.
