Looking for advice on some retail land & storefronts 

I am new to real estate investing and thinking of starting off by doing a "house hack" via renting out the unused basement as a short term rental (AirBNB, Vrbo etc) in my single family home which is used as primary residence.

I don't particularly want to sell my share of this property as it has appreciated quite a bit since we've initially invested and I'm hoping I can eventually get him moved out to turn it into a full-time rental property.

My strategy doesn't involve influence by any factors outside of my control. 

What if a tax accountant has a lot of knowledge and experiences of tax laws including investment, would it matter?  

That’s a big reason I invest in commercial mortgages only  

The Fed will be lowering rates so that should make investments a bit more attractive.

I think the experience of the operator is the biggest risk factor we see.

They build and invest to help improve the area, bring in better tenant pool, improve the economy and hopefully at the end of the day make a profit on the hard work, time, and money spent on that new development.
