If so might be easier to tear the whole tile floor back out and start over with the thought of finished height in mind.Check to see if  their is a taller marble OR maybe a two step transition made of wood. 

Another consideration is the heloc payment changes, assuming interest rates stay the same your payment goes down after each payment slightly but you can have increased payments when the interest goes up.
