They luckily seem to have found a neighbor who agreed to be our guy for the remainder of the winter.

I am sending my own HVAC person to the unit on Monday for a second opinion and to see if replacing really needs to be done or can we get through the winter just replacing the valve.

During summer I plan on getting a bike to save on transportation, I usually work a 2 jobs in the summer (full time during all my school breaks too) which now I plan on pocketing everything from my 2nd job and around around 50% of the paychecks I get from winter break and reading break!

You should do this during winter when the temperature difference between the inside and outside will most clearly show where you have room for improvement.
