Regulations change for STRs and the market can become saturated.Personally, I like Ann Arbor, Lansing and Grand Rapids, Michigan for STRs and LTRs.You have to know the local restrictions and regulations on STRs in those locations but you are much more likely to be able to buy a property that will cashflow as a long term rental and cashflow much better as a short term rental even using property managers.To your success!

Looks like the exterior walls are painted block so just wash them down good.Given the fact that the water heater is on cinder blocks, I would say that this house has flooded before.I wish you a quick, cheap and rapid recovery.

Trying to scan through all the posts with RE deals is making my head spin and some are really concise while others provide nothing but, "reach out if you want more details" which then makes the OP have to send the same info to 5-10 different people.

Thanks Amika, I do like the benefits that come along with House Hacking such as lower or even no mortgage payment in some cases, however my family and lifestyle don't necessarily lend itself to that strategy, but I'm always scanning for House Hacking opportunities that make sense to me!

@Jordan Lucas the best way to do this is over a long time and get “lucky” by owning stuff in rapidly appreciating areas.I live in a large apartment complex, surrounded by other large apartment complexes (100 plus units each).
