I started around the same time as you, but am also juggling a very busy family life (child number 5 is three months old) and have made much slower progress towards my goal.

Because our inventory is heavily weighted with one-bedrooms, we don't have very many children and all of our tenants with children either have stay-at-home relatives or school jobs so that child care won't be an issue.

So lets not use the "lazy and choose to be homeless" as the poster child of the issue.... the facts just don't support that position

Eviction legal process is extended, requiring longer notice times before a petition can even be filed at the court (at least 2 months to get a warrant)   Judge can issue a stay of said warrant for UP TO ONE YEAR for "financial hardship", which includes inadequate child care.It's just really frustrating. 

But it's been challenging balancing scaling my real estate business with also starting a new very demanding full time job and also giving birth to my second child this past year :)What do you want to do with your real estate business this year?

Then, your child is sick or something else happens and you realize that all you really needed was a healthy family, and good times with those you love, and this other stuff is marginal one way or the other.

I have a friend who is in a similar situation, but with one child on the ASD spectrum, on the severe end.
