That gave me time to scrub the bathroom up better, clean some marks off the walls, etc.Once, I had damaged a door trying to move some furniture, but I explained the damage to the landlord, and because the rest of the place was immaculate, and I'd been honest, they let me off and said 'We were going to replace the doors anyway'.I was lucky, and would have been happy to pay.I hope the OP got their deposit back, or a valid explanation as to why it was withheld!

Another idea I had was to take four heavy-duty greentreated beams, erect them into the ground, and build a small 8'x10' structure on top of them that I could live in.Wooden shed - you know how you can buy those wood shed kits (like this) at Menards, Home Depot, etc.?

see what they've done and how much it has cost.i'm sure you're looking because you see some value in it - improvements of the structure and subsequent revenue increases, but with those older buildings you really have to pay attention to the finer points that could land you with big expenses that don't necessarily improve your revenues - i.e. asbestos removal.
