City Planning is saying that subdividing is not an option due to current zoning codes. 

in our county if the city water bill is not paid they will go after the landlord to pay it not the tenant and if not paid they will put a lien on your property and it will show up in your title work when researched.

Im from Camden, NJ which is one of the poorest cities in America.

So if he decides he wants it back he can buy me out and I still get my $$.What gave me the idea was our city auditorium was slated for demo.

I'm a new landlord, haven't even collected first rent from tenants yet on a 3 unit in a city of about 100k population.

I assume this would require some sort of formal parcel/lot split with the city if it were allowed, anything else that would need to happen?

I aim for top of the market, but my place near the city park gets higher rents than the one near the industrial strip.

I am working under the Keller Williams Realty Greater Quad Cities office.

But I'd still like to learn how to research this in case we want to diversify and invest in other cities/areas.Please advise.
