If you were in my shoes, what would you do???

I need to get some ideas and pick some brains on what you all would do if you were in my shoes.

Many of these folks were in the same shoes in the past, and people like to help others who are vulnerable enough to mention they are new and getting started.

The city has a right to raise the living space and thus appraisal of the house if it is no longer storage space. 

Investors have lots of choices on where to put their money....rental houses, stock market, storage units, commercial property, office buildings, and so many more......if the laws make it too difficult to be a residential investor, then the capital moves to another investment....fewer rental homes, means higher prices, so when people like this think they're helping tenants, it might short term, but long term makes things worse.   

Side note: I have an acre of commercial property in El Paso for sale that would be perfect for storage units, pm if interested!

Each unit has a storage room in the basement for tenant use.

.-1 acre lots nearby are selling for $50k - Homes across the street are $400k+- Lot is inbetween 2 bigger towns.Our thought are to add the 5 additional pads (My husband owns a concrete company) and build Boat/Rv Storage on the cleared acres.

We do Self Storage, but take the concept and adapt to your own.  

The pricing in my area for this type of storage is generally $50 for outdoor storage, and $125 to $150 for covered storage with power for RVs and boats to maintain a trickle charge.
