If you have a long standing work relationship with the handyman and the quality of work and communication is typically adequate, pay the him what he asks.  

Being available via online channels or phone with pre-fixed hours(9-5) was important for communicating with contractors, VAs, property managers, etc I do miss the military and firefighter world at times though :)

Got myself some of Robert Kiyosaki's books (rich dad poor dad and cash flow quadrant) for general personal finance literacy and "the ABC's of real estate investing" by Ken McElroy.

Couple others in there are often recommended on the BP podcasts often: "Rich Dad, Poor Dad,"  "Richest Man in Babylon," "The One Thing," "10x Rule" and a few others.

The Honeywell 9000 has multiple levels of lockout, partial or full.It also has temperature and humidity alerts as well as loss of communication. 

Sellers are being hesitant to move and a lot of communications in general have slowed down.
