I love trees, but just cut one down at a property I recently bought as it was in a bad location, branches hit the siding on my house, roof on the neighbours and when the leaves fall, they'd clog the neighbour's gutters and land on my AC unit.

I have a rental property with up and downstairs tenants Just recently the downstairs tenant has complained about them getting a smoke smell from the upstairs neighbours in their unit.

Talk to your neighbours and ask if they will split the cost based on how much of the fence is shared (eg 60 ft on each side neighbour and 50 ft for the back neighbour).
