Don't let anyone take advantage of your inexperience.

Even when you don't think you have anything to offer find a way through your own inexperience to help educate and add value to the community (by asking a question on a forum which in-turn not only helps educate you but others that read it and respond as well).

In addition to your inexperience in real estate, it sounds like your Realtor also lacks experience or they would be providing answers for you instead of forcing you to reach out to disinterested third parties here on BP for guidance.
