It is quite common for the LLC veal to be pierced by either internal or external lawsuits. 

What type of construction are you planning - minimum stick built with 1-2" of XPS externally (R28 - R33); 2x8 (or nordic framing) walls with 2-3" of external XPS for a {near} R50 wall; SIPS, etc.?

I do like the advantages of a condo in that the building handles all external costs and maintenance.

The way I did it, it took a ton of time, but I know I reached the proper people, spent less money, and hit the houses with flip potential that I hand-picked.

No doubt there will be some internal and/or external common areas to be built too.

But if there's no external explanation, it's probably just defective vinyl.

There will be a difference in treatment by the CRA if you hold the property directly while living external to Canada.

As Peter stated once a quarter external walks with bi-annual full inspections are the norm, that said as James stated even with inspections some of this is going to happen - that's the rental business.

You will need to add a french drain and sump pit/pump, this can be done either inside the basement or externally if its already a finished area.
