The markets aren't hot per se, well Falmouth is to be honest....but I haven't yet been presented with the options of how much insurance is willing to pay out for A.

Seems crazy but the economics of managing home rentals is so on / off depending on the area (SE forget home rental as a business, except for FL) that it's actually a wise business decision to almost give the older home away to get out of home repair and supposedly turn over.

Welcome @Etay Orlander I am a real estate investor in SE CT as well.

I'm located in the SE corner, near Ypsilanti and Canton area... most would say near Detroit but that is not technically accurate.  

I called the City of Durham and asked about any restrictions regarding building additions to residential structures and he said as long as I wasn't increasing the footprint there weren't any restrictions per se but that I should just send the drawings into the City and see if they approve them.
