I've read many posts here that indicate this is common practice and most importantly still provides personal asset protection though you may lose some anonymity this way. 

Anonymity is your greatest enemy.

The fifth pillar is owning everything anonymously.

The real key is that your QI for the 1031 get in touch with the escrow company so they can coordinate that closing.As you move forward now and in the future you can keep your intent to 1031 as anonymous as possible. 

So, I am planning on getting an attorney to handle the eviction to remain anonymous.

There are additional privacy/anonymity options available through using a Land Trust, as well as how easy it is to tie into any estate planning you intend to do in the future. 

They are in the process of transferring them into Land Trusts with their LLC as the beneficiary for anonymity & asset protection. 

Some that only have a few properties and are not looking to expand may opt to use a Traditional LLC with Anonymity vs a Series LLC. 

There are more benefits to the Land Trust beyond just financing which include introducing anonymity to ownership and the fact that it ties in with any future estate planning easily.
