We've got close to 500 fans for the BiggerPockets Facebook Fan page after only a few weeks: http://www.facebook.com/BiggerPockets but, like you said, the participation on the BP Group is pretty weak -- as is that participation on the BP LinkedIn Group.

A lot of the social sites had low quality subscriber and user databases.So for years I stick to Twitter, Linked In, Facebook, You Tube and just try to grow those as the most people are using them.
