Made 21K in about a week.During those 24 hours, I got myself a 7K piano and other old antique furniture that came with the house when I bought it. 

@Paul G.Thanks for sharing your answers, questions were for everyone... thank you because I think your story is probably a lot closer to the mean on a bell curve if I could get 1000 people to respond... rather than the "$30k into REI" all in strategy.I've been investing in stock, metals and antiques, with the mentoring of my mother, for 27 years...

eEdge is so antiquated and they keep telling the agents that Gary is investing Billions on it's replacement. 

I was a rep for a state of CA senator for the antiquated plat steering committee this was early 80s  .. and we had a big conference in Ft.

I parged the walls but it didn't eliminate the leaking, but being a low profile root cellar type basement with antiquated french drainage it suffices for now.Thankfully the front area (30x15) of the basement was built as a 'bomb shelter' so the solid poured cement walls & ceiling do not leak or bow & definitely supports the rest of the building.

A beautiful house with an antiquated floor plan is still not desirable to a large portion of the market.

Maybe I am using a local-term or even perhaps an antiquated term.  

I believe the house- judging from the excellent neighborhood (antique, beautiful homes in a quiet neighborhood surrounding a park), and current comparable listings- is worth quite a lot (comparables are ~200k).

They tenants sold their house and apparently are financially stable, Sellers said they have been wonderful to live, pay their rent on time etc and they would like to say - all sounds good until you see the apartment - they have a lot of stuff, they took the contents of their house to the apartment and it's like entering a very old antique shop, wall to wall covered in stuff - barely room to walk - we can keep them or we can have it vacant - the only thing is it probably wouldn't be available to rent until Dec 1 which isn't a great time to rent.We could give them the option to stay until March 31st but as they are older @ 60 +  we are a little uneasy if they couldn't wouldn't leave with all their stuff.Thanks for any feedback.
