Ben:You have time on your side and, while calculated risks are good things to take when you are young, you need to learn your line between risk and reckless.I have plans to be headed back your way in 2 or 4 years - once the boy is a little older - to have a go at the uphill run.

I might be headed to Clovis or Kirtland next, any thoughts on clovis nm real estate market or areas?

Our oldest will be headed to college in Tampa in the fall and we are considering buying a rental property that she and roommates can live in the next year and that we could hang on to for future renters and vacations for us. 

@Nancy Bachety I think I'll be headed home in and around the June time-frame. 

I have a haunch that the growth rate number in the original post is a better indicator of where real estate prices might be headed.  

So long as the long term market doesn't appear to be heading south and you could at least break even with cash flow on an annual basis and are not in a tight spot financially I think retaining your asset is best.

Hi @Brant Martin - Glad to hear you will be headed to Northern Idaho! 

However it looks like we could be headed for another bubble - burst cycle.

Ill be heading back there to take care of my mom for a while.
