Hi All,I am wondering what opinions people have about up-and-coming RE-tech startups that offer crowdfunding platforms or tokenized investment solutions in an attempt to solve the high barrier to entry (accessibility) and liquidity problems in real estate investing (would anyone consider using these platforms as an alternative to traditional real estate investing at any stage in their endeavors?)

I would have a discussion with my attorney & place the items in storage and notify their legal personal representative of their estate.

As @Patricia Steiner said, in my state, an "As-Is" contract allows the buyer to walk away for any or no reason during the inspection period, while the "Standard" contract allows for the seller to remedy certain items to "working condition" and does not necessarily allow the buyer to back out scot-free.If you aren't sure of your contract, consult your Attorney, Realtor, or title company for some direction. 

There is an investment property that is over 3,000 sq ft filled with at one point high end items. 

When I sent the letter stating why i kept their entire deposit I would itemize everything to show that they owed a whole lot more than what I am keeping. 

For funds that are already in your retirement account (e.g. a former employer 401k plan), rather than weighing the pros and cons of investing retirement vs non-retirement funds in real estate the more salient comparison point may be whether you are better of investing retirement funds in real estate and other alternative investments vs. traditional investments (mutual funds, stocks, bonds, etc.).3.

@Ned CareySo true Ned about the replacement of a furnace or other items. 

Our credit scores are a little low for traditional or even fha financing...plus the financed amount would exceed fha limits anyway.I can get a hard money loan, repair credit while we fix up the house then refinance in a few months.

If not, I'll go the traditional lender route with 20% down but no realtor, just a real estate lawyer I've used to buy land before.Any help/thoughts/etc. would be very welcomed.
