My investment objectives are primarily to build cash flow and equity which can be used for retirement at approximately age 67.

@Scott RoelofsA cost seg study is a great strategy to reduce your immediate tax liability currently, especially if you are in a position where you are likely earning more income now than you will be years down the road say in a partial retirement setting. 

My plan is to eventually retire from the Army to North Central Florida, and in the mean time, build a rental portfolio of multi-family homes to have as a nest egg/twilight career.

@Michael Haynes now you are talking my language I believe funding a roth IRA is the best option right now for my retirement.

As an investment analyst, my employment, bonus, and retirement accounts are directly affected by the market.

I'm still on Active Duty, enjoy it a lot, and don't plan on retiring anytime soon.

My current goal is to generate enough cash flow to get my children through college and be able to enjoy my retirement.
