The owner of the property had some janky title issues going on where someone else's name was on the title yet had no ownership of the home.

Would it be breaking some legal structure /protection of my LLC by storing the rentals reserves in an account under my personal name?

We went through a title company and the building is now appearing in my name on county records.

Secondly, alternatively, I have also considered setting it up as DBA to change the feel of the sole proprietorship and keep my personal name out it (again, knowing full well that I am not gaining any liability protection with a DBA) Thoughts?    

Unless you are buying in an LLC, you shouldn't have to move away from standard Freddie/Fannie mortgages until you have more than 10 in your name. 

The note will still be in your personal name.
