Amazing properties and endless oportunities . i am now in denver wich is a hot real estate market . i drove from miami to ohio and from ohio to colorado and i saw a lot of oportunities and i am very glad i left the most SE corner of our country. i will be selling my property in miami for about 60,000$ of profit plus my personal savings , i should have a decent liquid fund to buy up 2 or even 3 oportunities in the midwest.

county and city government are addressing this all over the country and have been for years.

Chicago has some VERY major gang and crime issues right now, one of the worst in the country, unless you know the specific neighborhoods, I would not try and invest there.I do know as a whole Englewood has some of the worst crime problems in All of Chicago. 

A person could literally be a convicted child rapist in some foreign country and you wouldn't be able to find out. 

I live in a suburb now, but miss living out in the country!

@Geoffrey Buscho I can't tell what part of the country you are in but you need to rely on the title company here.  

For investors with long distance portfolios, are you clustering all of your properties in a single city or are you scattered around the country?

Any other advice on FSBO sales is appreciated.Also I have read that some areas of the country have more than one MLS or database.

An accountant who does work across the country would certainly be enough of a professional to determine and communicate any state specific issues.

That's actually not too bad from what I've seen in SD County at least, but it is still worse than other areas of the country.
