Finding a creditable tenant is what some of us Landlords focus on.But, sometimes credit don't really tell the whole story about the individual.

I am excited to make that a reality and hope that some of you on this board can assist along the way (and vice versa).

Further, most want to divide the plot into individual units, which seems silly to me and multiplies the closing costs.

Because it flows through your 1040 it would get taxed at the rate you as an individual get taxed at. 

I called a few numbers for tenant rights, one of the told me, "if you're not at fault I'm being evicted, the landlord who gives you the eviction notice is supposed to pay you for relocation assistance."

It was built by my father who was self employed as retirement income for him and my mother, who was a stay-at-home mother and also assisted him in his business.

I did here from a lender recently that was working with financing for multifamily properties with another individual that the area can vary widely from one location of town to the other.

I also second what @Aaron Klatt said about perhaps finding a mentor or investor looking for assistance.

I’ve never come across a larger gathering of like minded people who are all so willing to assist one another in every facet of business.

You may be better off finding a partner to go in on this one (split building, negotiate roles & responsibilities due to financial qualification assistance needed to obtain property).
