Old mini mart, gas station for less than $5k for sale in small small old town.

I try to buy a place at every duty station. 

Don't get me wrong I love my country respect the men & women who have fought and died for our freedoms.Ever thou two nights ago three punks ran up on me at a gas station (in a decient niegborhood homes values 150K & up)pulled a gun and demanded I give them them my $$$.

Ive seen this a few times, most recently by Union Station.

@Timothy CasallasHey Timothy - I read your profile and it appears that you will be stationed in Japan soon.If you invest in real estate. you may want to look into investing in states with no income tax(such as florida) this will be one less tax return that you will need to file.Also - if you have an account in excess of $10,000 during the year in Japan - You should report it to the IRS.

Picked a train line or a bus line followed the path to their stations and evaluated from there. 

Currently Active Duty Military stationed in Point Mugu California right in Ventura County.

There's a reason the area's population has grown 60% since the War on Terror began just 15 years ago.That said, do plan on higher turnover due to PCS stations often lasting a mere 3 - 5 years, deployments and the like.
