So the ideas about future education or switches would be personal decisions I suspect...On the investing side, real estate has been a worthwhile (and even profitable) part of my life (but it is no magic formula for happiness or anything).So you could see if a property (maybe think about a duplex, triplex or fourplex) would pencil out and you could even make a unit your home a short time and later rent that unit out, too, and buy another property (or just live On the Road!)......

Then a couple minutes later he says "You want to give me a three day notice go ahead and then you can give me an eviction notice and I'll see you in court"So now we're kind of in a pickle.

Than you can plan later to move to areas that seem more lucrative, provided you have done your due diligence. 

Hello all,I just discovered this site today and I'm looking for a place to learn about the basics (and later, the complexities) of investing in real estate.

So a safer bet is to build to create a rental property, and sell later.

Add on the $300/mo HOA and it's DOA.If I were buying something I later wanted to rent out, I would be in a blue collar neighborhood of detached 3/2's with vans in front that say "Joe's Plumbing" or "Ethans' Electric".  

A few hours later the couple showed up at our door and thanked us for intervening before things got too out of hand.

I ended up forming an agreement less than 24 hours later with a friend and fellow buy and hold investor for $30k.

There is a meeting later this month, 18th or 22nd can't remember for sure which.  

I took gamble needing to get  the rent coming in and almost 4 years later they have been the best tenant.
