Paints are much improved in the last 15 years so you can get away with less work than you could in the past, but I still always do 1 coat of latex primer over new sheetrock and then 1 coat of Glidden Duo and it looks fantastic.Primer is a fraction of the cost of paint, so my method is cheaper than 2 coats of paint.

You can also take video on your phone, but be 5000% sure that the rope or whatever you have tied to your phone won't come off... if you drop your phone into the wall, you *will* be doing some demo to get it back
