The ones who lack the self discipline to save (because they CHOOSE to spend it all) are certainly tenants by choice.And some might even argue that some of those on social assistance choose that as their lifestyle, but let's not go there ...

So I could really live anywhere, and there are more and more like me.Those who are well paid may choose the beach in South Florida, instead of here.Those not so well paid might choose to live a comfortable lifestyle in some old farm or factory town in the MidWest.

When I become a senior I will sell some to my kids and keep some for cash flow to support my lifestyle.

There is no magic # to go by, it is all based on what your financial situation is and what type of lifestyle are you accustom to.
