Don’t shoot yourselves in the foot.

So everyone can look out their windows and see "Golden Girls" and "60 Minutes" 100 foot high.Does it exist somewhere, or is it just a concept?

So let's say 123 Main Street has foot tall grass, the roof is caving in, and the driveway has piles of rotting garbage. 

Finding a contractor that specializes in ADUs in your area and asking them what the typical project cost per square foot is would be a reasonable inquiry.

This may just be the easiest route as then the different cleaning fees and additional guest add-ons will likely be easier to set up this route.It would be only two listings, I can't separate anything outside with any expectation of privacy and I don't want to change the foot print of the exterior as it works well for my large family (I'll be using it some).  

But you'll pay $35+ a linear foot to have one built.

I currently live in Geneva (Switzerland) where prices are generally very high (average price per foot being approx 1330 $ in the city center) and there are strict lending rules for mortgages.

Seems as though you have one foot out and other foot dug in a bit deeper (by wanting to manage yourself).
