Back in mid January I started listening to the BiggerPockets podcast with episode 1, today I finished listening to episode 483.

Not saying the OP is going to have the same experience but listening to people in other parts of the country that have no clue as to the dynamics of Bay Area real estate and would just jettison a home over 1500 a year not sure i would be listening to them.     

Also, don’t listen to the negativity, there are deals to be had.

Most owners listen to my 5-minute elevator pitch and hire me.

He is hungry to learn and has read books, listened to recommended podcasts, & learned how to analyze properties.

Search for "real estate investing" podcasts to listen to, including Michael Blank (Apartment Building Investing with Michael Blank), Whitney Sewell (The Real Estate Syndication Show), Jake & Gino (The Jake & Gino Show), Dan Handford (Multifamily Investor Nation), Joe Fairless (Best Real Estate Investing Advice Ever).Also, find books to read. 

Listen to Wholesaling Inc, Bigger Pockets, and Read the ABCs of Real Estate investing by Ken McElroy, and Rich Dad Poor Dad.Youtube: Pace Morby, Max Maxwell, Brent Daniels

My husband introduced me to the Bigger Pockets podcast and we have been listening for around a year and are finally ready to get started in real estate investing.

Read a book or two a month and/or listen to an audio book a month in real estate investing and finances.

At this point I have been reading BP books, attending webinars, and have been listening to the podcast.
