The lease or mortgage modification applies to a primary residence.In this case the spouse has leased a second home, while the Act extends to debts of the servicer member and immediate family, a second home wouldn't qualify unless the lease is over a certain amount (like over $2,000 a month).Debts are not terminated but limited and remain in place and any modification reverts back to the original obligation and is payable.My question is that if he has been in the states why wasn't she with him?

The catch is, I dont want to put the title of the property in my c-corp's name - I want it to remain under my personal name.Can I use the c-corp to do all the property management (i.e. it will be done by me as an employee of said corp), and if a tenant sues they would sue the c-corp?

If you borrow and take a loan using that car as collateral (security) the lender puts a lien against the title and usually holds the physical title document for safekeeping, while you drive all over town.In order to sell the car, a buyer wants not only the car but the original title document reflecting that the lien has been paid (satisfied).Real estate is a bit different in that the title document (deed) is recorded within the local county to tell the world who owns it.
