Funny how most people move within 7 years.With very little exception (first-time homebuyers and affordable housing), if you own any residential property in California, and that means SFR thru Multifamily, even your primary residence, this new tax will apply to you.The claim is that the money from AB 1771 will mitigate the housing shortage in CA and that the money will go into a proposed “Speculation Recapture Reinvestment Fund.”

The market made a significant change the investors that back the lenders had to make a move quickly to mitigate losses. 

I know there will be risks regardless, but I'd like to try and mitigate as many as I can as smartly as possible.Or maybe I'm just over thinking this too much.I would appreciate any thoughts or feedback on this.Thank you everyone!

And it will probably vary from stage to stage.One consistent strong need for investors (IMO) is the ability to realistically assess risk and put plans into place to mitigate the risks. 

Many of those concerns mentioned often apply in many circumstances but if done correctly, much can  be mitigated.

Each time you conveyed a form of a promise to have the situation resolved or mitigated, and it didn't.

If you have your sights set on this market...at least start  by learning lending and loss mitigation, become an expert in borrower options to avoid foreclosure and qualifications  for modifications,  forbearance,  payment plans , short-sales etc. 

Anyone understand how HUDs new loss mitigation concept supposed to reduce mortgage payments?

If the odor is not properly mitigated that will cause ongoing problems.
