If the early deadline is the 25th and the grace period ends on the 4th, they could end up paying 40 days apart and then only have 20 days to get the rent together for the next month.One advantage of the discount is it is more likely to be awarded(full rent) where late fees may not be included in a judgement.

It's *EVEN MORE* rare that a bank won't either reject or counter-offer a price this low, so there's essentially no chance of getting it for that price if your first bid is that price.I'm not trying to rain on your parade, just trying to prepare you for the inevitable.

Since it likely did not get delayed due to weather (rain) I would say his timeline was way too long, but even if it was 2 months, that does not deserve getting shot, you should have just fired him, not fired at him!
