Help me make these rails look nice

So I am going to be closing on this house in about a week or so, and I'm trying to come up with my rehab plan. It is a split level with these wrought iron rails. I can't decide if I should tear them out and replace with some stained wood, go kind of modern and do some cables or something, or try to keep what is there. The house will be a flip and will only have an ARV of about $80,000. I have to keep the budget tight, but this is the first thing you see as you come in and I want it to look nice. Any thoughts?
