There are plenty of ways to get involved and experienced on a salary.Don't forget corporate real estate divisions, Wal-Mart has a real estate division, there are folks that do nothing but travel around locating new store spaces, chain restaurants, auto parts stores, JC Penny, Sears (I know they are closing stores but the staff is still there to do that as well) Hedge Funds, banks, insurance companies.....long list of commercial management positions inside the corporate world. :)

We all get the free deprecation expense and was wondering if anyone else is in the red,year after year on paper which is good but will that throw up a red flag to the IRS if your consistently loosing money, which your really not just the case, depreciation makes it looks like you do plus auto travel adds up to.

At the very least, tenants would be able to get up to the garage, eliminating the headaches of complaints, necessity to plow, and perhaps make it ideal for elderly.

I deal with this situation almost daily, talking to the tenant upstairs and giving them a lease violation can sometimes stop it.
