Trim outside tree limbs so mice won't use the higher limbs to drop onto the house to get in.. you'd be surprised.

If the sewer line breaks or a tree comes crashing into the roof, we cannot just shrug our shoulders and tell them to wait.

It does boost the value at resale of the home as the trees and view in the winter is better than looking at a house.  

The cost to develop the land per acre is key based on the topography and if the land is in a flood plain or had endangered species water streams and trees etc.

Unless he had to, he'd rather stay in the A/C than sit out under a tree above 85 degrees or inside when it was below 30 degrees.
