It's not cheap to live here in Los Angeles but it's not cheap to live in New York either but people love both cities and want to be where there are opportunities.If people can afford to live in both Los Angeles and New York they'll do it even if the taxes are high. don't forget North side Chicago  and Boston along with Seattle in the high priced category. and even Charleston SCI just sold a house that I built in Charleston for just a TAD under 1000 a foot.. pretty cool for mid deep south

I agree - it is pretty asinine that you aren't able to title in an LLC you personally own, I'd love to see some policy changes soon as I run into this issue a lot but I'm not holding my breath.

Houses are worth less without them here, it is very uncommon to not have one, except for large apartments and commercial stuff.The reason we have them here, is because the frost line is 4' (that means how deep does the ground freeze).
