It is a totally different market in many instances with regard to how you do business there but it's worth a hard look in my opinion if you're serious about SFR.

I'd love some input on what to do:I am a 40 yrs with a stock market investments of 350K trying to coast fire in the next couple of years.I just got a green card and moving to the US from Canada and looking at which accounts to invest that money in the US.But I am not sure I will stay in the US in 10 or 20 yrs.What do you think would be the best strategy to coast fire when you are not sure where you are going to be in your later years?

Also, start learning about your local market and what types of properties and deals are moving.

I really am only holding the property until I'll get enough capital plus equity to upgrade to a better duplex in the future.

I’m a realtor and have completed a CRM on final build so based on a Comparative Market Analysis I would have instant equity upon completion of the build and could sell or refinance. 

Gastonia is actually the primary market I work in with all of my investors and with the revitalization plans for the city I am quite bullish on the Gastonia market.

Every company out there markets their product.

After speaking with someone who is familiar with this market, I learned that you could have the tenant pay all the utilities except the water, the landlord would have pay for that.
