I'm currently attending the University of Toledo studying Finance & Professional Sales but I'll be graduating in May this year and have accepted a job in the corporate world starting mid-May. 

My main interest is buy-and-hold rentals in markets outside of LA (it’s way too expensive in LA and I need to get started in a place that’s not so pricey), and possibly house-flipping.I’m originally from the state of Washington, I grew up in the Puget Sound region in Tacoma and went to school at the University of Washington in Seattle.

I have been in school the last 5 years working low-paying jobs while attending school (sometimes full-time, sometimes part-time).  

As a full-time public school teacher, I only had about 11 weeks during the Summer I could really dedicate to building a real estate business.  

My guess is that you'll find properties in RI a bit more affordable than Mass but schools won't be as good and rents will be lower too.

Only one kid right now, but my wife and I plan to live here until we have two kids and at least one of them is school-aged.
