Sounds like high maintenance.Explain that you can an enamel coated tub, likely every other rental also has an enamel coated tub, and they can watch what products they are using, chose to shower instead, or if those options don't work for them, you can let them out of their lease.I would not have offered to reglaze a tub that was in good condition.
